3rd Grade's Gingerbread STEM challenge was extra sweet today!

At our last board meeting, Chief Gulli and one of our SROs, Officer Bernardy, recognized MJHS School Counselor Nicole Klaric for her role in promoting safety in our community by being a trusted adult for our students. We are grateful for Nicole and the counselors and social workers that do such important work in Manhattan 114!

Our hearts are with the Ronaldson family today and always. #miraclesformollieanadelyn

Happy Thanksgiving, MSD114!

Our 2024 Illinois Report Card reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff and students. We're pleased share some highlights from the Manhattan Schools as we continue to grow and thrive in Will County. We will use data from our index and IAR scores to identify areas for growth and in setting goals for the future of MSD114.
The entire Illinois Report Card can be found here: https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/District.aspx?districtId=56099114002

MSD114 district staff and building leaders have been collaborating Manhattan first responders and law enforcement to establish plans and strategies aligned with the Standard Reunification Method. While we hope to never use these, being prepared is paramount in ensuring the safety of our students in any incident - big or small - that would disrupt normal dismissal procedures and require a controlled process to reunite students with their families.
Here are a few reminders for parents to ensure the safe and secure transfer of students from the school to their parents or guardians:
- DO monitor text and emails for updates and information from the school.
- DO NOT arrive at the school to pick up your child. Students will not be released during any active crisis or emergency situation.
- DO read the instructions and address of the reunification site sent by the school.
- DO bring a photo ID to the reunification site.
- DO expect several hours to be needed to complete the process.
- DO trust that every step of the process will be executed with the safety and security of our students at the forefront.

2nd Grade enjoyed their Thanksgiving feast!

Yesterday, Anna McDonald hosted "The Pro-Kids Show". We embarked on a journey called "Seeds of Character" where we discovered the importance of doing the right thing and spreading kindness. We shared lots of laughs too!

Thank you Tim Hannig and The Pro Kids Show for coming out to Wilson Creek yesterday!
