MJHS Athletics were out in full force last week with boys’ basketball & cheerleading hosting their last home game and wrestling hosting a meet at Anna Mac. Way to represent, Demons!!

Thank you Jackie OHara and the Manhattan Fire Dept and Will County Sheriff Deputy Jeff Jerz for facilitating the Stop The Bleed training for Anna Mac staff today. Side note...Deputy Jerz is also an active shooter / first responder trainer and was exceptionally impressed with our method across the district for how we secure our doors during a time of crisis to protect our students. That was very encouraging to hear. Thank you everyone.

Anna Mac ended the week with mid trimester trivia and minute to win it activities. The Chicago Bulls won it all, earning a pizza party and mystery prize. Go BULLS!

Anna Mac was treated to an excellent Black History presentation by the Bright Star Company called Black History: Hero's, Solidiers, & Spies.

Anna Mac had some educators from France and England visit with us on Wednesday. Thank you Ms Lamont & Book Bag Tours for making our school a stop on their trip to the states.

More great work by our 4th grade STREAM classes. This activity involved coding and incorporating a variety of math concepts.

Congratulations to all of our MSD 114 Families and our entire community as we bid farewell to 2022. The Manhattan Board of Education and our administration joins me in wishing everyone a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year! Happy New Year and welcome to an amazing and exciting 2023! Our schools and our community have much to look forward to in the new year.
Best Wishes to All!

The artwork displayed at our fine arts nights shows the hard work of our 2nd graders and Mrs. Davis. From candles to lights, so much shining light!

Our 2nd graders and Mrs. Bloom shined so much light through the music and sounds of our fine arts nights this week!

It might be cold outside but it’s nice and cozy inside MJHS! It’s flannel season for our Manhattan Demons. Students and staff wore their favorite flannel today to celebrate our last in person learning day before winter break!

Mrs. Coffey’s class teamed up with Mrs. Pedziwater once again to put on a “winterful” ❄️❄️☃️ holiday music program today! The only way to spread holiday cheer, is singing loud for all to hear! 🎶
Thank you to all the students, staff, and families who make special events like this happen for our MJHS students!

Congrats to Drake Prasun in Ms. Lamont’s 5th grade class for already completing the 40 Book Challenge! Keep reading and inspiring others!
Happy Holidays.

Congrats to our dodgeball grand champions from Mrs Krause / Mrs Patterson's class

Mrs Miller-Amato took students from homeroom to homeroom this week singing holiday favorites

Mrs Healy and her litte elves treating students as they entered the building to some holiday flute tunes.

The art show and stage are set for our 2nd Grade Fine Arts Nights this week. Mrs. Bloom, Mrs. Davis, and our 2nd graders should be so proud of their hard work! #wilsoncreeklearns

What a wonderful job our Kindergarten families and teacher did, collecting hats and mittens for local families in need!

On Thursday, the 7th & 8th grade boys’ basketball teams, as well as the MJHS cheerleaders, were given the opportunity to play at Lincoln-Way West against Liberty. All teams were excited and very thankful for the experience! Thank you to everyone at LWW & Liberty for making it happen!
🏀📣💙
