Mr. Rusty Ragon
The Illinois Elementary School Association, the governing body for Elementary and Middle School athletes, announced on Friday morning that they will be canceling the regular season in the sports of boys and girls golf, boys baseball, girls softball, and boys and girls cross-country for the 2020-21 school year.
I want to wish everyone a happy, safe & healthy summer! Thank you for a great year! Yes, it was different but it showed "Manhattan Strong" is our character and not just a tag line! We have the best Staff, and the Best Community! Have a great Summer!!!

As you may have already heard through news reports, the Chicagoland Speedway released all of their employees earlier this week. President of Chicagoland Speedway, Scott Paddock informed me yesterday, May 7th, that the Chicagoland Speedway will not be able to host graduation events. Mr. Paddock stated that to keep health and safety the top priority, follow the Governor’s executive order that is still in effect, and other circumstances, Chicagoland Speedway has cancelled events. As disappointing as this news is to all of us, we remain committed to celebrating our 8th Graders! We are already preparing to host a celebration in front of the Manhattan Jr. High School on the same date and time, Friday, May 22, 2020, at 6:00pm. We will work very quickly to share updated information with all of you next week.
The Manhattan PTO went above and beyond to show their love and appreciation to our MSD114 staff today! Thank you to all of the families that contributed signs and to everyone who helped make this happen. We’re so grateful for your support!
