We celebrated our K-2 WHITSON family members at our School Pride Assembly. Our orange family represents FAIRNESS and is named after John Whitson who sold part of his land to the Wabash railroad in 1880 then subdivided his land to allow for the development of the village along the railroad. The Whitsons brought lots of fun and fairness to our assembly!!
A big shout-out to the Manhattan McDonald's for their generous donation of Grimace frisbees! Our students at Wilson Creek in the Purple Family had an absolute blast playing with them. It's partnerships like this that truly make a difference in our community. Thank you for bringing smiles to our students' faces!
The 5th grade artificial coral reefs are nearly finished and being put to good use by some very happy fish friends at Anna Mac! Actual scientists are 3D printing coral reefs in an effort to save this ecosystem, and our 5th graders are part of the effort. Looking forward to more displays at the Manhattan Library on November 27th @ 5pm
2nd grade enjoyed Thanksgiving Feasts this week. Teachers joined their students for an extra special lunch in their classrooms. It was such fun memory making for these classroom families!
Our Wilson Creek students enjoyed The Pro-Kids Show during school and families enjoyed another show with Tim Hannig last night. We always enjoy the magic, laughs, and wonderful messages when he visits!
5th graders dedicated the first trimester to researching coral reefs and they have made some incredible products geared toward saving these amazing ecosystems! Families and friends are invited to help celebrate their students' accomplishments.
Please see the invitation for details.
