Instead of their regular specials and classroom work, our K-2 students had a circus-themed day filled with stories, singing, visitors, games, STEM fun, and lots of silly entertainment. A special thanks to Mrs. Newcomb from the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library and Smokey the Bear and his crew from Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie for spending time with us today!
Wilson Creek Olympic Day was a day filled with fun and memory-making! Thanks to Ms. Book and our PTO for planning such a fun-filled day for the kids and to the many, many parent volunteers that helped out - it couldn't happen without you!
The MJHS Demon Choir celebrated summer a little early by singing the National Anthem and the 7th inning stretch at the Joliet Slammers Game this past Wednesday! We're so proud of all of our Demon singers for representing us in the best way!
This afternoon, MJHS students and volunteers ran with officers from the Manhattan Police Department at their very first Demon Dash Color Run! Students ran to support the MPD in their efforts to support the Special Olympics Illinois! All money raised for the Demon Dash Color Run will be donated to the Manhattan Police Department for the Law Enforcement Torch Run and the Special Olympics Illinois. Way to go, Demons!

With the end of the year approaching, our 7th grade ELA classes just wrapped up the novel, "The Outsiders" with their annual mock trial for the book character, Johnny. Every student in the class had a role in the trial, whether it was the judge, bailiff, lawyers, witnesses, jury, or news media. All students put on wonderful performances while simultaneously demonstrating their comprehension of the novel's plot and character development. Nice work, Demons!
Wonderful job Anna McDonald band, choir, & orchestra. The official last performance of the year was fantastic!
A big "BRAVO!" from WC to the MJHS band, orchestra, and choir. We were so excited and proud to see relatives and enjoyed singing along!
Thank you & great job to our MJHS band, choir, and orchestra for your performance today at Anna Mac. Its amazing how talented our kids are and no wonder our fine arts programs rake in the awards year after year at their competitions. Truly amazing!

After weeks of observing caterpillars and studying metamorphosis, our first grade classes started releasing their butterflies today! This brings so much spring excitement to Wilson Creek every year. 🐛🔎🦋 #wilsoncreeklearns

The MJHS 8th graders had a blast last week at their black and gold themed 8th Grade Dance! Between the music, food, bubble machine, and photo opportunities, the night was filled with smiles, laughter, and, of course, dancing! Thank you to Mrs. Watson and Mrs. Dobczyk for planning this event and to all the staff who volunteered their time to ensure our students had a wonderful "last dance" at MJHS! The class of 2024 will be missed!
