news

We are excited to welcome almost 2,000 students to the 2024-2025 school year.  The restructuring process is wrapping up and our building administrators have worked hard to bring a fresh feel to each of our four buildings.  Our teachers are also excited to settle into their new spaces and preparing to welcome students.  This is an exciting time in Manhattan School District and we look forward to working with your family this year.

As you begin to prepare for the new school year, please note:

PowerSchool will reopen on Wednesday, August 14th.  Registration, teacher assignments, and transportation information are all accessible on PowerSchool.  While teacher assignments and class schedules are complete, transportation information is subject to change as additional students register.  Please check your child’s route and times again before school begins.

Our district will use Quest Food Service to provide school lunches again this year.  Information about lunches and ordering will be sent on Wednesday, August 14th.  Lunch orders for August 28th-September 30th will be due by August 19th.

If you have any questions regarding PowerSchool information, transportation or school lunches, please send an email that includes your child’s first, last name, and grade level to the appropriate contact:

PowerSchool and Registration: Lisa Lee at llee@manhattan114.org

Transportation and School Lunch: Pam DeBoer at pdeboer@manhattan114.org

More information for your back-to-school planning will be shared by your child’s building principal on Wednesday, August 21st.

Finally, we are looking forward to the return of Parent Expectation Nights for PreK-8th grade parents.  Parents are invited to a presentation of academic and class information to assist in working together for your child’s success this year.  Times and details will be forthcoming for individual buildings.
