Manhattan School District 114 Community and Families,
Adding the new Manhattan Junior High School to accommodate the needs of our growing community would not have been possible without the strong support of the Manhattan community and families. Thanks to you, we're a few steps closer to opening the school year as a district with four schools. Yesterday, we celebrated the hard work and planning of so many at our ribbon cutting ceremony and community open house. Over 3,000 people visited our building throughout the day!
We'd like to express our sincerest gratitude to the staff, students, board members, and administrators who assisted Mr. Perillo and Mrs. Burlison as they opened the doors to the new Manhattan Junior High School. We are thrilled to move into the next chapter for Manhattan School District 114! Thank you, also, to so many who took time from their day, waited in lines, and participated in the tours and activities of the events. We are looking forward to more opportunities for the community to visit the building in the coming weeks. The August Board of Education Meeting will take place at MJHS on Wednesday, August 14th at 6:30 PM. Tours will be available during closed session of that meeting. Also, MJHS families, we encourage you to explore the building and its features during Locker Move-In days in August.
You can learn more about the project in this Building & Construction Information about the school.
We were reminded again this week of the rich history and unwavering support of our school district and community. We are looking forward to a great year for each of our Manhattan 114 students. Once again, we thank you!
