Welcome to Wilson Creek!

As building principal, it is my honor to serve the Wilson Creek Elementary School community. By fostering a community of learners among staff, students, and families, it is my goal to lead and support everyone involved in giving each child in Manhattan the opportunity to start their education with a strong foundation here at Wilson Creek.

In education, we are faced with the challenge of constantly "keeping our plates spinning".  That is, developing our curriculum, establishing our instructional goals, implementing lessons, meeting the individual academic and social/emotional needs of each child, and always aspiring to learn and grow as professionals.  We have many plates spinning here at Wilson Creek and we will work together to ensure everyone in the school community feels supported and prepared to always keep them spinning.

Our staff is committed to collaborating and improving upon past practice to strengthen academic rigor and align instruction and assessments to the Common Core State Standards. As students play, learn, and grow, we hope to meet their individual academic, social, and emotional needs.

I look forward to learning and growing with the students and staff of Wilson Creek again this year.  I welcome you to be a part of our community of learners.  If you have questions, please feel free to call, email, or visit us at anytime.
